There are several great bathing spots in Sirdal. Several of them are located along the road, so it is easy to stop to take a cooling bath on a hot day.

Nesetfossen is one of the most famous bathing spots in Sirdal. Over many years, the water has formed beautiful deep potholes surrounded by majestic waterfalls. Here you can swim, jump, dive and explore the area for several hours.

Another favorite is Øksendalsvatnet in Øksendal. A beautiful and lush part of Sirdal, with a great beach, with a toilet and a volleyball court that the well team has established. 

There are also several beautiful beaches in Sirdal, most of which lie along the Sira river. Among other things, you will find swimming beaches at Tonstad (Sirdal cultural center and in Sirdalsvatnet), Lindeland camping, Tjørhom, at Ålsheia and Fidjeland.

If you are the adventurous type, you will also find countless nice bathing spots on the mountain. Take a break along Suleskarvegen (Fv 987/337), Hunnedalen (Fv 45), Gyadalen/towards Helleland (Fv 42) or the road to Kvinesdal/Evje (Fv 42).


A great swimming facility has been built at the cultural center and the football pitches in Tonstad. Here you can either enjoy lazy days on the beach, or experience water fun in the water park.

Indoor pool
Should the weather not be on your side, we have great indoor pools. 
Sirdal Høyfjellhotell at Fidjeland has a great and inviting pool for both its guests at the hotel and others who want it. 
Tonstadbadet has several pools, suitable for everyone. A small paddling pool for the very little ones, a pool for the slightly bigger ones, a wellness pool with a whirlpool, and a training pool with a diving board and a diving tower.

SANDWATER BEACH
Fantastic and child-friendly swimming area with shallow water that is perfect for the little ones. Sand volleyball court and car park near the swimming area.

Location:
At FV42 at the north end of Sandvatnet, 1 km from the junction towards Gyland station.

THE AX END ALLOWANCE
Great swimming area with sandy beach, small jetty and diving board. Kayak for loan and a great sand volleyball court. Fine barbecue facilities with equipment and HC toilet, which the well team has established. Feel free to support the good team's work:

Directions:
At Haugom on FV42 take the exit towards Ovedal on FV976 to get to Øksendalstjødna. On the way back, you can continue on the road. After 600 metres, you come down to FV42 again.

SIRDALSVATNET
Between the wharf and the outlet to Sira, there are good opportunities to swim. 

SWIMMING PLACE NEAR SIRDAL CULTURAL HOUSE
Great newly renovated swimming area near the cultural center in Tonstad in nice surroundings, with nice bathing facilities for everyone. Volleyball and football field close by.

LINDELAND
Close to Lindeland camping, there are good swimming opportunities in the river that runs through Sirdal.
